The Mortgage Bureau sponsored the match ball for the UK Premier League match between Norwich City and Manchester United. The game was held on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at 4:30 pm.

There was much interest in the game in view of the stunning victory over Manchester City earlier this year. There was some speculation about whether Norwich City would be able to repeat such an unexpected performance over Manchester United.

Canaries Match Ball

The Norwich City Football Club, also known as The Canaries or City, is based in Norwich, Norfolk. They won a place in the Premier League at the end of last season. This is the most-watched sports league in the world as it is broadcast in 212 territories to 643 million homes. Of the 49 clubs that have competed since the start of the Premier League in 1992, only six have won the title.

These are Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers, and Leicester City.

The victory of Norwich City over Manchester City earlier this year was really unexpected. Manchester City had even set the record number of points in a Premier League season in 2017-18. In the victory that nobody saw coming, Norwich City bested Manchester City, 3-2. The victory briefly catapulted The Canaries to the 12th spot in the league. They have not been able to hang on that high in the table since.

It can be said that Norwich City FC was going up against a giant. The Manchester United Football Club has won the most number of trophies in English football. They have a record 20 League titles, 12 FA Cups, 5 League Cups and many more. Nevertheless, with their recent win over Manchester City, nobody could discount the possibility of a possible win by The Canaries.
